Good Purchase. Version 1.2 is an improvement.

I read the reviews on SolitaireHD and hesitated in purchasing. Too many games out there are poorly written. But I was impressed with the effort the developer put into both the description and video. I wish all developers would include a video showing exactly what we're buying. Based on the video, I purchased SolitaireHD. I love Freecell and this is a very good implementation of the game. A little sparse on the extras (scoring, timing, game number to play, etc) but game play is excellent.
Other critiques of the game dealt with graphics and animation and I didn't find any problems with either. Perhaps these issues were dealt with in v1.2. Smooth animation and game play in all the versions with no crashes.
I like the extra touch in designing the look of the cards and the way they are handled. The 'old' look is nice and the somewhat hap-hazardly way the cards are laid on the table gives the game a touch of realism.
As stated by the developer, the cards are easy to read in either landscape or portrait mode. Even switching during gameplay does not present any problems. I like this and other card game developers need to follow this.
I gave it 4 stars since the game is good but needs some additional touches. This game can easily grow and continued support is promised. The price is perfect for what your getting and well worth checking out.
